2. Mark C. Hagerman. CL 1909. Pennsylvania State University. Decorated by General Pershing for bravery in WW I as Sergeant of Company G, 308th Infantry who led the survivors of the “Lost Battalion.” The saga of the Lost Battalion later became the basis of a major motion picture on WW I. Head of Hagerman Mill. His home at Hagerman’s Farm is now the center of the national historic monument of “French Azilum.”
